Hello everyone and happy valentine's day (a little late).

Valentine's day
I hope everyone had a great holiday and was able to spend time with those they love! My valentine's day was rather interesting. Mike had to work because he took time off to see Beau before he had to leave. However, Beau's departure has been rescheduled and he will now be leaving in the middle of March! So, I wasn't able to spend time with Mike on v-day, but he did show up at my door at 12 AM on February with red roses! :) He's such a sweet heart!

Statistics result
I received my statistics test grade! I made a 94!! I'm so excited! I have no idea how I possibly pulled that off, but I did! Hopefully this "A" streak will continue!!

Kappa Delta, say whaaa??
So, I've decided to add another element to my journey! This week I was invited to rush the new sorority- kappa delta! Coming into college I knew nothing about greek life and was definite that it was not for me. However, second semester freshmen year I met a "sorority girl" who introduced me to the sorority world! I was even privileged enough to go with her to the delta gamma senior send off! It was so fun and I considered rushing the beginning of this year. However, I chickened out because I was scared of the time commitment and have been regretting it ever since. As I'm sure some of you may know, it is unusual for juniors and senior to rush; so, this semester was my last chance! Well, I GOT A SECOND CHANCE! I was referred by two girls in kappa delta to rush this week!! Last night was my first even and it was so fun! The girls are all very sweet! Tomorrow we're going ice skating! I'm really looking forward to that! I really hope I get in! If not, I can't say I didn't try!

Junior Miss/Distinguish Young Woman
This weekend is the fabulous state Junior Miss program! It's going to be an interesting one because the name change takes effect! The program is going from Junior Miss to Distinguish Young Woman! What a great program that is inspiring to so many young women! It's been a life changing experience for myself and I encourage every girl to participate when her time comes!

There's just a bit of an update as to where my journey is taking me! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. :)

"...blonde girls, blue jeans, string of pearls, take you on a trip around the world girls. Love has a thousand faces..."

Hello everyone! I'm sorry that I haven't written in so long! This week has been crazy- three tests & two papers, along with having other homework & working two nights a week!

Statistics:
Tomorrow I have my first statistics test, I really hope it goes ok! Mike, my boyfriend, has been a big help with getting me through this class. His high school offered AP statistics and he is currently a mechanical engineering major switching into marketing-business, so he understands the math deal! I envy people like him who just gets it. I'm so blessed to have him in my life...

Careers:
Anyway, so I realize I previously posted about not knowing what I want to do when I grow up. Unfortunately, I have yet to decide what job I would like to have, but I am making progress! Last week, I switched my curriculum to political science with a concentration in public policy! I have hopes of getting into my university's graduate program in public administration. The more I've prayed about it have thought about it & my different options, I've realized that I have to go with my gut. I can't fight it. I always end up coming back to public administration, so why not take a stab at it?

Prayer request:
I have a prayer request! Mike's best friend, Beau, is leaving for Afghanistan tomorrow & will return May 2012. Mike's friendship with Beau means a lot to him, and Beau's mom is like another mom to Mike! Please pray for safe traveling and a safe experience overall. I admire every man and woman who risks their lives for our country and freedom- armed forces, police, fire, etc. What a great thing these people are doing. However, it is so frightening when it's a loved one!

I'm so sorry this post has been short, but I have to get to class! I hope everyone is doing well & has a great day & Valentine's day. :)

Here's a song I've been listening to lately, I love it!
