"You're all I need if I'm by myself. You fill me if I'm empty. There is nothing else."

A new step:
School is officially over and summer has begun. So far, so good. However, God has placed some challenges in front of me. Challenges, that will be conquered. I'm starting to realize that every challenge I face or the challenges the people I love are facing is a new beginning, a new step, in my journey. With these challenges, I will grow and my journey will become more colorful and full. I would love to share with you the obstacles I am currently facing; however, they are at a personal level. If you will please just pray that everything will turn out they way God intends them. Two separate things are taking place right now and both need prayer. As my daddy said today, "Get on your hands and knees and pray hard. It works." My daddy has said a lot of things that has stuck, but I think this may be the winner of them. Surprisingly, it even beats his famous, "Suck it up!" What a wise man, my father is.

Great things:
As I mentioned in my last post, two of my friends are currently out of the country. Both have blogs, so I am able to follow their posts. Chelsea is studying abroad. Currently, she is in Trinidad; however, they are leaving for Panama soon. She is having the time of her life and I'm so thankful for that. This will be an experience she will always remember and one I'm sure will impact her life. Please keep Chelsea in your prayers. Pray for safe travel and that she continues to enjoy her trip and takes away culture and knowledge. My other friend, Matt, is also in Africa. As, I've recently posted Matt is on a mission trip. He hasn't been able to post as much on his blog as Chelsea has because their internet connection is very poor. However, he is doing well and is spreading God's word. Honestly, I envy Matt, but I admire him oh so much. I strive to have a relationship with God as he does. A rising junior in college and he is already doing great things. What a wonderful man he is becoming. Please continue to pray for him. Pray that he is safe and pray that God gives him the strength and wisdom he needs to continue doing his work.

I hope you're all doing well. :)

"Don't worry 'bout a thing, don't worry..."

Ramblings:
It's crazy to me that it is already summer and I have finished with my sophomore year of college. Where has the time gone? I can't believe it's been two years since I graduated high school, four years since I got my driver's license. However, I look back on the previous years and it is obvious how much my journey has progressed. Tonight, I was brought back to my senior year. Senior year was a wonderful year for me. I got into the school of my dreams, received a wonderful scholarship and title, had a fabulous last year of dance and cheerleading as well as so much more. However, one thing sticks out to me the most. I suppose it always will. Senior year, I found one of my best friends. I know I have written about Tyler and how he is my absolute best friend as well as I have written that my boyfriend, Mike, has become my best friend also. All of those things still stand and are very true, but they each hold a different place in my heart. The person I just mentioned is much different from Tyler or Mike. For one, she's a girl. That makes things MUCH different. We can relate to more, haha! Chelsea and I received the same scholarship, but in two different cities. We participated in a scholarship program called Junior Miss. After winning this life changing title, we both went on to compete at the state level. This is where Chelsea and I met. Coincidentally, we only live thirty minutes from each other. After hitting it off at the state program, we both found out we were going to the same college. After arriving at college we began to hang out regularly. We both have very busy lives and we are in different majors. Chelsea is in chemical engineering, so she is in some veryyy challenging courses. We would go weeks without seeing each other and we still do, but nothing EVER changes between us. We pick up right where we left off. Similarly to Tyler, Chelsea is one person I know I can go to with anything. I can be completely stupid around, I can cry to, I can call up just to tell her a funny story. Chelsea is an admirable person and is going far in life. She is genuine and true to others and most importantly to herself. She is smart and beautiful, she is caring and she is honest. She is everything people should strive to be like. I'm lucky enough to call her my best friend and Junior Miss sister.

Anyway, I just needed to let that out. Wednesday Chelsea will be leaving the country to study abroad. Please keep her in your prayers. Also, my friend Matt is leaving tomorrow for Africa. He will be spending some time there over the summer on a mission trip. Please keep him in your
prayers as well.

"It's like thunder, lightening. The way you love me is frightening!"

Happy Tuesday!

Exams:
I can't believe exams are already here. As I stated in my last post, WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE? I'm simply not supposed to be this old. Tomorrow is my statistics exam, wish me luck! It is at 6:00 tomorrow night, so go a head and start sending up those prayers. I'm definitely going to need them. However, I am very glad this is the first one. I'm a firm believer in "getting the worst over with first." I have five exams this semester and I think I'm going to die. I have one Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Monday, Wednesday. Can you say intense? Oh college...the stress you bring me! Please pray for all of the students going through exams right now! It is a very stressful few weeks! Although, I'm sure we will all get through them!

It's raining men, hallelujah!
I declare, I was meant for the 80's. Although my momma thinks I was meant for today, I beg to differ! I know my life has a purpose for the 2000's, but I think I could have done just fine as a teenager in the 80's. The music is fabulous, the clothing was great, lyrical was taking off, & women were establishing their power. Did I mention lyrical was taking off? Boy, do I miss dancing. Lyrical is and will always be my favorite type of dance! It's destine! My sorority and one of the fraternities had an "80's Rave." We dressed from the time era, we played the music, we had a good time! I had the baggy, cut off bright yellow shirt, big earrings, big hair, red lips, purple tights, and pink pumps, & the dance moves. Of course, I rocked every bit of it. Seriously, I was meanttttt for it. Too bad, I can't change time!

Anyway, it's back to studying for me. I hope y'all have a wonderful week!
